The Love of God

How much does God love you? Can you truly “… grasp the breadth, length, height, and depth of the Messiah’s love, yes, to know it, even though it is beyond all knowing so that you will be filled with all the fullness of God?” (Ephesians, 3:18-19). How can God’s love be explained? One way is through Theophany, the appearance of God to a human. The remarks below attempt to describe the fullness of God’s love after Theophany. They are a culmination of phrases found in the Old and New Testaments, and in present-day writings after a theophany experience:

“I know you.”

“I have always known you.”

“I know EVERYTHING about you,

From the very moment you were born,

Until now, and nothing is hidden.”

“You are created for My glory.”

“I have called you by name.”

“I made you.”

“I delight in you.”

“I love you as you are.”

“I’ve always loved you.”

“I loved you into being.”

“I love you with all the pain you’ve caused,

And I love you without it.”

“I accept you as you are.”

“I crown you with honor and glory.”

“For you see, I love ALL of you.”

“Nothing is a surprise to Me.”

“I love you now,

And I love you for eternity.”

“I love you, My precious child.”

“I love you with an everlasting love.”

“I come to you in the night season,

And draw you (to Me) with loving-kindness:

To comfort you, to quiet you,

And to sing over you.”

Allow these words to soak into your inner being. Recall in Jeremiah 1:5, that God professes, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…” He loved you then, and He loves you now.
